Steve "Ace" Moore

Unfortunately, what Steve is best known for is being the member of Zadoc who has been fired (and later rehired) the most times out of anyone else who's ever been a part of this band.

Dark Cloud and I first met Steve in March of 1997 when our roadie Jason 'Tiny' Helmer came by for a visit. Tiny mentioned that his friend played guitar so Dark Cloud and I told him to strap one of our guitars and show us what he's got. He ripped through a few KISS songs and Dark Cloud and I joined in. We then showed him the rhythm guitar part for Twisted and had a go at it. Dark Cloud then told him he was playing it better than then-current guitarist Kirk Brinley had played on our recently released CD "...As the Curtain Falls...", of which he followed up asking "Do you want a job?".

Steve joined us on our small tour to support the CD, playing shows with our co-headliners Pagan Holiday across New York state and in some cases completely filling in the rhythm guitar slot of Kirk Brinley, due to Kirk's increasingly chaotic
work schedule. Steve added a lot as a third guitar player being able to handle a lot of the melodies and harmonies that were beyond
Kirk's playing abilities and filled out the sound immensely, and all at the age of sixteen. When chaos, ego trips, and stalemates caused me to leave the band in December of 1997, Steve was one of the first people I asked if he would like to join my new project The 7th Sin. Coincidentally, this would also be the beginning of the problems we had with Steve as I had also recruited theatrical help from a Dan Gober, which began an immediate dislike and distrust between the two.

Dan and Steve fought constantly about the band's stage show versus the music, and not even a year into the new project I disbanded it as well to stop the bickering and to attempt to keep the peace. But months later, when we put the old band together again we needed a guitar player, and I explained to Dan that Steve was the best choice as he knew a lot of the older music and would be quick to learn the new songs.

Perhaps it was a mistake, since the two fought too much and probably entrapped each other through their inabilities to tell the truth. Steve was always being fired by Dan and later rehired by myself, until I realized that Steve himself was becoming a problem in himself. He finally left on his own accord in August of 2000 and has been in several different punk and hardcore bands since. Since Dan's departure from the band, Steve and I are once again on good terms with each other and we talk from time to time.
