The favorite member of the Nightmare by many, 'Carmennucci' is the proverbial back bone of the Nightmare's raw and creepy sound. Together with bassist Azriel Mordecai, the two make up an infectious thick rhythm section that lays down the groundwork for the band's unique sound.
Carmen and Zadoc first crossed paths in July of 2002 at one of the infamous Promise Breaker's gigs. Carmen took notice of the Nightmare, while Zadoc found himself impressed by the drummer for The Late Prophets. It would be another year before they would cross paths again.
In the spring of 2003 Zadoc began assembling a fresh new lineup for the Nightmare with bassist Azriel Mordecai being one of the first to join the fold. While Az and Zadoc were looking for other musicians while catching a Cliff Diver performance, Cliff himself suggested a drummer he had known to be looking for something different to do.
